Hello to all!
My name's Jamie and I've just moved back to London after having spent the last 5 and a half years living abroad in Canada. I'm looking to re-join a band in London. I'm 33 years old and I've been in bands all my life. I was the bass player and vocalist in a punk/rock band (think The Clash, The Jam, The Who etc.) for about 9-10 years up until 2018 when I decided to move abroad. Whilst in Vancouver, Canada, I was the lead guitarist and background vocalist in a rock band for about 4 years. We're called 'Fellow Kids' and for an idea of the sound and style we played (and the sound and style that I'm most recently used to playing), you can check out our website with links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube etc. here -

I can play both rhythm and lead electric guitar as well as acoustic guitar, bass guitar, ukulele and I also sing. I've previously fronted bands as the vocalist and I sang background vocals and harmonies with 'Fellow Kids' for the last 4 years. I'm ideally looking to join or start a band as a guitarist (either rhythm, lead or both) and background vocalist (I can front, but I'd prefer to do my own thing on guitar and help out with harmonies etc.), although I'd be open to playing bass again in a band... If the fit was right
I'm keen to get straight back into music now that I've returned to London. I have all of my own equipment (guitars, pedalboard, amplifier etc.) and can commute to pretty much anywhere in London within reason. I currently live in the Wembley area of NW London.
If the fit was right I'd be happy to join both an originals band and a covers/function band. My main style of playing is straight up rock guitar, but I can do a bit of everything. 'Fellow Kids' were heavily inspired by bands like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, etc. I'm very used to the live music/gig scene in London, so I know how all of that works. I also used to help run my previous bands websites, social media platforms, gig bookings, etc.
If anyone out there is looking to start some musical projects, form a band or has a space in their current band for a guitarist/background vocalist then feel free to give me a shout.
Cheers,
Jamie
