Guitarist required - Looking to form an electric acoustic / acoustic duo (preferably with a female partner for harmonies etc but blokes considered)
Hi.
My name is Neil, I’m 34 and have transport etc and am looking to form an acoustic or electric acoustic duo that would be looking to do smaller intimidate gigs at cafes, restaurant and some good quality bars/ venues etc at first (as we will look to do weddings, events etc as our reputation grows)
I want to form a duo which would do things a bit differently, put our own stamp on covers with a set list that is outside the usual safe covers and that you hear all the time, combined with maybe some original music to work on together. I don’t mind if it’s purely acoustic and a softer format, or we go electric acoustic for the right venue.
I am a confident from man, and my range is large, I can sing pretty much anything, though I have tended to just be a rock, even metal vocalist for the last bands. I would like to get back to more current stuff, and open up my soft and higher pitches rather than focussing on power.
that would cover all of the North East I have been in many cover bands over the years, had my own originals band (Poetic Licence) but have had a few years out of music as I got sick of playing the same old covers the same old way, and the same bars etc..
My set lists in the past have been so varied, and I would love to work with someone who wants to do something unusual and take songs people know and do them a bit differently, and be a bit unique, so people can say that was a different and good version, and don’t just have the same song played to them the same way they have heard before. Ideally, as I’m used to having 60-80 songs at my disposal based on the kind of music a venue or event require, we would have a large range of songs to use to adapt to gigs as they come in.
I don’t want drummers or bassists, I would like it to be purely my vocals (as I don’t play) and the guitar work and vocal addition (if you’re interested up for it) so that they can be appreciated purely based on the simpler, more stripped back versions.
I have access to a full (and big) PA, mixer etc, all you would need is your amp and a pedal / effects if you use them
If you search for poetic licence 11 on soundcloud, there are 2 tracks from the originals band and one cover which is a completely different version of Seven Nation Army than you have heard before! (Its the emblem with a lass holding a skull)
If you are interested, please ring or text on 07803095616 and ideally if you have links to your own stuff that would be appreciated.
Thanks
Neil
