Ok! Cards on the table.
I'm not young, don't really like Oasis and derivatives, Cold Play (music to cut your throat by 😁) etc, my influences were definitely NOT the Beatles or Stones! However if some of their stuff ends up in the set list, I'm a grown up and will deal with it. I've done it in the past and I own several pairs of 'big boy pants'....lol
But I really like Travis' Side, and things like Sniff n The Tears Driving Seat, 29 Palms Robert Plant, Kiki Dee I've got the music in me, Toto, Huey Lewis, Crash by The Primitives, Travelling Wilburys, The Eagles (just don't ask me to sing 😆, Dire Straits and Chris Rea (just don't join the last two names together on a set list).....
Would love to play some Country Rock ...Keith Urban and the like. Some Rockabilly (mediocre ability) and generally most stuff that is melodic and can be danced to. A bit of funk, a bit of Soul just a big mix up really.
Ideally looking for a function band but, if pubs are a thing, I won't be sad.
Been let down many times by members with attitude, bullies or personnel who can't send a simple txt or email. Same goes for 'knuckle draggers"! So I won't go there again.
I just want to play, have fun and watch people have fun while we play.
If you want to know where I've been band wise before now, message me.
Good gear, transport, own PA (can be used as stage monitoring if needed instead).
If I sound cynical enough for you message me LOL.....
OH!!!! One final thing...... I used to teach among other things so communication and body language (stage presence) is a must. If you can't look at each other and the audience to make eye contact during a gig, and I've seen many videos on Facebook etc where this is SOOO obvious, then maybe we won't click.....
