I'm a 46 year old guitarist and I have been gigging 30 years (where does the time go).
I've played a VERY wide range of styles. Rock, Metal, Punk, Blues, Folk, Acoustic Ballad, Party Standards, and more.
I once played songs by Slayer and Adele in the same weekend (different acts obviously).
What I'm looking for is a fully formed band with a clear style and direction. It doesn't really matter what that style and direction is, as long as everyone in the band is on the same page.
I'm looking for band mates who will turn up on time, know their part and treat each other with respect. Decent individual gear, plus PA/lights (I have some of that, but prefer a band where someone else has that sorted if possible)
In terms of activity, I'm looking at quality over quantity with gigs. A couple of decent paid gigs a month, rather than slogging our guts out to barely cover costs. Same with rehearsals. Ideally I'd like to work with musicians who learn their part at home and turn up to dress-rehearse, rather than spend weeks and weeks learning songs in a practice room.
I'm not looking for startups or own material. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm a bit long in the tooth for that. Looking for a fairly gig ready act that wants a decent guitarist to learn their set and get out gigging. Don't mind a costume theme if that's what you've got going on, or if not, presenting a united image in terms of style.
Look forward to hearing from you.
