Greetings!
I'm forming a new band/project. After a string of less than satisfying band encounters I've decided to take it upon myself to form something. I'm a 28 year old male guitarist, I grew up listening to and playing band like; My Chemical Romance, Paramore, The Used, You Me At Six, Mallory Knox, The Darkness, Waterparks, PVRIS, etc.
I'd like to form a rock/hard rock band, with influences from other genres. I want to write hard, fun songs that people can go mental to, but also have emotional depth, and obviously to exist on a spectrum. Soft songs too!
I want consistency with individual releases but not to narrow down our options from a wider perspective.
I need all members! This is going to be a bit of a slog but I'm driven and willing, music is what I want to do. I play guitar, have done for 15 years. I have a functional drumming ability but guitar is my thing. Know that I want to have fun, in a chilled and friendly band environment, but I want things to get done. Please don't apply if you can't dedicate in the ways required from something like this.
I have everything needed at my home to make simple demos (simple due to my lack of experience with the software, if you have knowledge, all the better!), I have all of my own equipment, selection of guitars, own transport (from the end of February) minus a head/cab, which is coming soon enough. I have a decent electric drum kit, an interface, a mac with logic pro, etc.
For the beginning I'm happy to manage us, sourcing gigs, opportunities etc, but any help would be appreciated.
