Hi
We’re a psych rock band from Liverpool looking for a new second guitar player and a keyboard/synth/organ player to join us. Our current line up is drums, bass and guitar, and unfortunately our second guitar player has decided to move out of the area and can’t continue with us. We’ve been playing together for a while, all fairly experienced in bands, and all original music. We’re a psych rock band in the vein of King Gizzard, Tame, Pond, with a bit of Khruangbin flavour thrown in. Tons of demos available and our intention is to get back up and running, gigging and recording as soon as we can.
The kind of musicians we’re after:
- Guitar: Rhythm and Lead player, happy to share duties and possibly backing vocals. You don’t need to be Steve Vai for this music, just a reasonably confident player. Ideally someone with an adventurous approach to playing, loves effects and loves a freak out. Reasonably confident with time signature changes (not loads, but some), happy to pop a solo, and not frightened of a few spicy key changes.
- Keys/synth/organ: Solid player with good chord knowledge and an adventurous spirit when it comes to sound. We love freaky and really want someone who’s not afraid to get away from the sound of the baby grand piano into some nasty organ and synth territory. Rhythm, pads and fills essential, and if you play lead as well then there’s bags of space for you to solo. Comfortable with time signature changes (not loads, but some).
As a band we’re all early 30s, we’re not a high pressure group, and to be honest we’re at a point in life where we’re having fun and seeing what happens. All in full time jobs so we’re not going to be cranking pressure up trying to headline Glastonbury. Looking for players age sort of 20-40, able to commit one night a week minimum plus gigs, have their own gear and are able to get into Liverpool for practices (usually Sort or Vulcan). I like to think we’re all pretty nice guys and easy to get on with, some of us enjoy a few pints but the mad partying days are over. Anyone interested we’ll try and meet up for a coffee or a pint and have a chat, then maybe sort out a jam to see how we get on.
If you think this could be for you feel free to drop me a message.
Cheers
Matt
