Established Leeds band Kitsch are looking to replace their current vocalist (who will be moving away in September) to start gigging with as soon as the world gets back into swing.
Also, we'd like to add a lead guitarist to our current lineup (drums, bass, guitar and vox).
We have our own free rehearsal space in Leeds and have gigged with this band in the past. We have good contacts and can get gigs easily enough. For what it's worth, we're all in our early(ish) 20's. We are not students. Colour, creed, gender, preference in meal deal options are not a concern for us. If it works, it works.
We play progressive stuff that's a mix of heavy and pretty. We're after a confident and versatile vocalist who doesn't write naff lyrics about pulling girls or Jesus or falling in love with their best friend at Leeds Fest. The ability to do heavier vocals occasionally would be a bonus, but not essential. Because of the heavier elements of our songs (and some drop tuning here and there), we feel a typical male vocal range would be better suited, but at the end of the day we're open minded to most types of vocalists.
In a guitarist, we're after someone who is both competent and inventive. No mindless shredding on your rad BC Rich please. Because of the type of music we play, we're looking for someone who's happy to use effects and play in various time signatures.
FFO: Oceansize; Karnivool; Mogwai; North Lane; Delta Sleep; Tool; Deftones; American Football.
If you've read this far, congrats!
If this advert hasn't made you detest the band already, please give me (Cal) a text on 07963 398 962.
Stay safe x.
