Hey everyone,
I’m an independent filmmaker and director looking to expand my portfolio into the heavy music scene, ranging from hard rock all the way to extreme metal (thrash, death, black metal, metalcore, etc.).
To build a dedicated showreel for this specific style, I am offering to script, direct, shoot, and edit a music video for one or two bands completely free of charge.
I absolutely love the heavy, gritty, and dark aesthetic of the metal scene, and I want to collaborate with a band that is passionate about their visual identity.
What you get:
Full visual concept/storyboarding collaboration.
Professional shoot (performance-focused, cinematic, or a mix of both).
High-end edit, color grading, and final delivery ready for YouTube and social media.
What I get out of this (The "No Catch" Part):
Because I am doing this completely pro-bono to build a specialized portfolio, I will retain the right to use the final footage, behind-the-scenes clips, and stills to promote my filmmaking business/showreel. The video will, of course, be yours to release and use fully for your band's promotion!
A few quick filters to make sure we're a good match:
The Track: You must have a professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered track ready to go. Great visuals need great audio!
Location/Logistics: I am based in London, so you should ideally be local or willing to travel to a location we agree on.
Skin in the Game: While my time, gear, directing, and editing are 100% free, the band will need to cover any external project-specific costs if they arise (e.g., specific venue/studio hire, unique props, or your own travel/food).
Reliability: Making a video takes time and coordination. I'm looking for a band that is reliable, responsive, and ready to bring tons of energy to the shoot day.
If you’ve got a killer track ready and want to create something massive together, drop me a message with:
A link to your music (Bandcamp, Spotify, SoundCloud, or a private streaming link).
A brief note about your band and your current visual ideas about you and the track you're presenting.
Looking forward to hearing your tracks!
Cheers,
Antonio
