I’m a lead guitarist & songwriter looking to put together a new band fronted by a cool female vocalist (if u play acoustic guitarist too - bonus but not essential).
I’ve recently left my band post lock down where our sound was a mix of indie style jangly gritty pop.
We released our album across all platforms in lockdown 2021 along with half a dozen singles on a major Scottish record label to great acclaim (we got BBC Introducing single of the week) But alas lockdown sapped our energy & we split after 5 yrs.
I wrote dozens of songs during lockdown that I would love for a female vocalist to make them her own & build an electric / acoustic / indie / jangly / pop sound & band around the voice. Not just the songs I’ve wrote but also any songs that you’ve wrote. Want the songwriting process to be collaborative & not just lead by one person.
I don’t want to pigeon hole the sound as looking to be as original & melodic as possible with a nod to The Sundays / The Strokes / Fleetwood Mac / The Pretenders / Arctic Monkeys / The LA’s / CAST / Sam Fender style sound.
Looking for easy going collaborative like minded individuals who want to make music that the group ALL want to make & have lots of fun along the way.
Once I get the singer on board - we then recruit bass & drums (& keys?) to complete the line up & get into weekly rehearsals.
Make music. Have fun. Gig. Record Tunes. Repeat.
