The band is called Songbird, started in 2023. It's part of a community project supporting positive mental health. We're not particularly loud, consisting of 3 guitars ( so you don't need to worry about playing guitar!), keyboards, percussion and vocals. We used to have 3 singers but they have moved on, which leaves just myself and I can't do it all on my own! There are some gigs in the pipeline, but I am not willing to confirm anything until I get the vocal department sorted out!
Here is a pool of songs we play from which we cherry pick a set list depending on the gig.
The one I love REM
I can see clearly Johnny Nash
Take it Easy The Eagles
Sitting on the dock of a bay Otis Redding
The one I love David Gray
Norwegian Wood Beatles
Love is all around The Troggs/ Wet, wet ,wet
Hallelujah Leonard Cohen
Hard Sun Indigo/ Eddie Vedder
Peace , love and understanding Brinsley Shwartz/ Elvis Costello
Femme fatale Velvet Underground
I'll stand by you The Pretenders
Whats up 4 Non Blondes
Take me home, country roads John Denver
Wild mountain Thyme The Corries/ and a bunch of other people
Navajo Trail Michael Nesmith

Half the world away Oasis

Plus a few others and about 4 or 5 original songs written by various band members.
We have our own Pa and other equipment and we are based at The Campbell Hall Community Centre in Boughton, Chester. Sessions are currently on a Tuesday from 1 till 3, but this will probably change to a Thursday. The best thing for you to do, if you are still interested, would be to to just come along and check it out. We have a Facebook page: Songbirdchester Look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers
