Established Shropshire rock band MOTHER THUNDER are in need of a new lead singer!
Preferably female (due to previous line up, band image, genre focus and songs). Of course we would still consider the right male singer.
Winners of Best Rock Band 2025 at The Shropshire Music Awards, we're an originals focused 70s/80s hard rock Band, with classic metal and grunge elements, based in the Shrewsbury area.
EP recently released July 2025 out on all major platforms, live album released this month, with live performance and music videos on YouTube.
Band currently consists of drums, bass and guitar, soon to be two guitars.
Ideally would need to be within the 20-40 age bracket. We are preferably after a bluesy/soulful voice, and not anything to heavy (no screaming please!), someone who can hopefully come alive on stage and emit a certain stage persona or presence/performance.
Must be focused/dedicated to practice once a week and want to push the project forward. Growing from 1-2 gigs a month on average.
Must be happy, if needed, to promote with social media, actively looking and responding to new shows and collaboration offers..
As mentioned, being committed to practice once a week in Shrewsbury (Tuesdays) is essential.
Happy to contribute artistically to song writing, music and overall band image.
Prepared to participate in recording, and also in music videos if the opportunities arose. Also, the small pooling of resources for future releases and gigs further afield if neccessary (band kitty).
Fan of the era of music and influences such as Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, GnR Van Halen, Slash, Iron Maiden and The Cult, but a wider range of styles to demonstrate versatility is great and warmly welcomed.
Extra instrumentation is a bonus but not essential, especially keys or guitar.
And ultimately, before all that, wants to have fun jamming and gigging with like minded musicians
