noyoume
(South East London)

I'm a 23 year old female vocalist based in South East London, willing to travel within reason but not outside London. I can also play some piano, and some guitar though its mainly just well enough to write. I wouldn't feel too confident playing guitar live regularly. In a rut with my own stuff so looking to expand and join a band who needs vocals! Also willing to provide vocals for existing projects by individuals. Ideally would like to join a mixed gender (long shot..) band around my age, maybe like 20-30yrs. I have an alto voice, I can go higher when belting out louder but I prefer to stay in a lower range just stylistically. You can hear my music at Soundcloud.com/noyoume - bear in mind I have a LOT more material than what's there, I haven't posted in a while and a lot of the stuff there is much more acoustic and quiet than what I make / would like to make these days. I'm trying to develop my new sound, but it's a good reference for my voice and lyrical skills.
Vocally I'm influenced by Gerard Way, Brian Molko, Keane, but mostly my vocals are just a mish-mash of what I hear and what I've developed myself over the years. (I don't sing in an american accent, it's kind of a more rounded-off version of my every day London accent.)
I like individuals tracks from all over and so can't really pin down what my current favourite genres or bands are at any given time. Generally I like rock and indie, and My chemical romance and placebo are my favourite bands of all time, but I also recently have been expanding into pop, electronic and ambient stuff. I will link a music playlist I add to regularly, and I listen to radio 6 a lot if that helps haha. Lately I've been listening to Nadine Shah, Jeff Buckley, The Cure, Sonic Youth, The Smiths, The Japanese House, Marika Hackman, Desperate Journalist, Cigarettes After Sex, LIFE, Miya Folick, Billie Eilish, Red House Painters and a load of miscellaneous stuff from radio 6. I would love to join a band that sounds anything similar stylistically to Sonic Youth, The Japanese House, Placebo, The Cure, Desperate Journalist. Here's my playlist, just hit shuffle really: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx8k0tpAl1GnZxUcd7vT6Wq7J4tmdrbha
I'm looking for anything rock/punk/electronic/alternative really, I'm open to a lot and would love to hear your stuff if you have it linked on here. i've already found some great music on here.
