Hi, Alex here! I'm 34, I play electric/acoustic/keyboard and I've been gigging from the age of 16. I've made a living from live music for the last ten years, playing with bands and duos on the wedding/corporate circuit in the UK and abroad
I'm looking for a vocalist for a new duo
- Male or female
- Cardiff/Newport/Bristol area
- Strong performing arts background (college/uni) and/or gigging experience preferred
- Pop, rock, indie, folk (charts and classic)
- Performing alongside myself to backing track for parties, and also some unplugged sessions
I mostly book weddings, with some private parties and corporate functions thrown in. I live in Newport and gigs are generally within an hours drive of here, sometimes as far as a few hours depending on the gig
With regards to performing fee:
* £175 for a standard 2x50m set
* +£50 for an extra 50m set (we do these from time to time, eg an afternoon acoustic set at a wedding)
* 50/50 split of tips
* Travel and food included
* Vocalist isn't responsible for any expenses/fees/insurance
* Off stage, the job involves some travelling, carrying equipment, chatting with clients and some waiting around before/between sets and afterward if we're handling background music (generally until midnight)
Please apply if:
* You have videos/recordings of live/recorded work
* You drive, with access to a car (for the occasional rehearsal and to a meeting point for gigs)
* You have good availability, particularly on Fridays/Saturdays in 2023/24
* You are able to maintain a diary for bookings, and to make a strong commitment to bookings made
