(Whitstable)

I’ve just completed a UK tour with a professional vocal trio and I’m about to move to Whitstable, hoping to set up some new projects asap.
I’m an emotive, soulful, versatile singer with a good range, influenced by Thom Yorke, Jeff Buckley, Freddie Mercury and George Michael. I love performing a mix of genres to keep things interesting; making sure there’s something for everyone and plenty of recognisable tunes so the crowd can get involved and sing along. I’m equally happy belting out some smooth Al Green as much as I am when wailing out a Radiohead track.
I’m looking for:
Female vocalist – with a strong voice and ear for harmonies, and plenty of live experience with great stage presence. This would be for a pop/rock/80s cover duo where we’d work on a set that we would agree on together and perform to backing tracks. Experience using in ear monitors would be great too but not essential - I have a spare pack you could use.
Guitarist (acoustic/electro) – someone who can play in creative ways across lots of genres, so we can give our covers some unexpected twists to keep things exciting. Ideally you would also sing a few BVs (but this isn’t essential). The idea here is to put together a more stripped back style set that would be suitable for more intimate venues and restaurant gigs while people are dining.
I’m currently imagining this would be for separate collabs but we could eventually form a tight acoustic trio together too if it all clicks. My goal is to build up to at least 2 gigs a week once we’re established, with rehearsals starting weekly from when I arrive W/C Mon 10th Nov. Then I’m thinking we can film a bit of promo and approach venues/agencies in Thanet and the rest of Kent. If you can drive that would be a massive bonus too because it will increase the scope of where we can perform.
If that sounds like your kind of thing and you’re prepared to commit to something like this where we’d end up with regular paid gigs at the weekends, I’d love to hear you in action so please send me some performance links with your message. If you read this and think I sound suitable for projects that you’re working on, let me know. I’m open to all possibilities right now - the main aim for me is to keep the pro musician life rolling so I don’t have to work so many hours in a dull regular job.
