Experienced and versatile drummer with over 30 years of playing experience, looking to join an established covers or function band and get back into regular gigging.
I've played extensively over the years, performing hundreds of gigs across pubs, clubs, festivals, weddings and private functions. My background includes several classic rock covers bands, function bands, soul and 70s disco bands, and several years playing with acoustic folk-rock band Bemis.
After taking a few years away from regular band commitments, I've recently returned to rehearsing and live performance and am keen to get out playing more often again.
Ideally, I'm looking to join an established, good-quality covers or function band, gigging at least a couple of times a month. I'm happy to rehearse regularly and am based in Hampshire, with no problem travelling into neighbouring counties for gigs.
Although drums are my main instrument, I also play some piano and have a strong interest in synthesisers, electronic music and music production. My musical tastes are broad, and I'm always interested in exploring different styles and ideas.
While joining a regularly gigging band is my main priority, I'd also be very interested in connecting with musicians for original material, creative collaborations or something a little more adventurous. I'm open-minded about musical direction and enjoy working with people who bring different influences and ideas to the table.
I have quality acoustic and electronic drum kits, professional cymbals and an extensive collection of synthesisers, midi controllers and recording equipment.
Ultimately, I'm looking to meet enthusiastic, capable and reliable musicians who enjoy playing together, have a good sense of humour and want to make some great music.
If you're looking for an experienced drummer, or think we might have some interesting musical common ground, please get in touch. Always happy to have a chat!
