WANTED: Vocalist, Guitarist, Bassist & Drummer for "The Big Dirty" (Every Time I Die Tribute)
I’m a guitarist looking at putting together The Big Dirty, a dedicated Every Time I Die tribute project centered on celebrating the chaotic legacy of Buffalo's finest and explicitly honoring the life, memory, and crushing wall of sound built by guitarist Andy "The Butcher" Williams. Looking for locked-in, high-energy musicians to round out a 5-piece lineup.
?Honoring "The Butcher" & Giving Back
?The Mission: This band is built first and foremost as a sincere tribute to Andy "The Butcher" Williams—his physical stage presence, his legendary rhythm tone, and his massive impact on both the hardcore and pro wrestling communities.
?Donations: A consistent portion of all band earnings will be donated directly to charity in Andy's memory (supporting causes aligned with his family's initiatives, including men's health and cancer research) to ensure his legacy continues to give back.
?Open Positions
?Vocalist: Needs to cover Keith Buckley’s full spectrum—throat-shredding screams, rhythmic cadences, and soulful Southern-sludge crooning. High stage energy and crowd-handling banter are essential.
?Guitarist: Second guitar to complete the dual-wall attack. Must be comfortable with chaotic mathcore riffs, dissonant panic chords, and swinging Southern grooves in Drop D and Drop C.
?Bassist: Thick, mid-heavy tone that locks straight into the kick drum and holds down the low-end wall while the guitars go unhinged.
?Drummer: Must handle aggressive d-beats, erratic time-signature shifts, heavy halftime breakdowns, and relentless tempo transitions without slowing down.
?The Details & Expectations
?Gear: Gig-ready high-gain amps/processors and reliable instruments.
?Stage Vibe: Zero-gap song transitions, theatrical dark humor, high-impact breakdowns, and absolute physical energy on stage.
?Ego: None. Just dedicated musicians looking to hit local stages, throw down, and pay respect to one of heavy music's absolute icons.
?Setlist flexible.
