Established Notts Indie Band Seeks Keyboard Player Nottingham

Heya!

We're an established Notts based indie/art rock/chamber folk band called Possum Kid. Our current keyboardist is having to quit due to other responsibilities and we're looking for someone to join as soon as possible. We're looking for someone to ideally start gigging with us in June. I have a 66 key Arturia midi keyboard that we currently use with the Arturia Analog Lab suite that you would be using unless you have your own better gear. We have a load of gigs booked in and we just recorded our first album at JT Soar so we're looking to plan in a bunch more over summer as well as single and album release gigs.

We've been active as a band for a bit over a year and have played a bunch of local venues including JT Soar, The Carousel, The New Art Exchange, Billy Bootleggers and The King Billys plus we have some booked in at The Grove and Mist Rolling Inn. We're a 6 piece with 2 guitars, bass, drums, violin, keys and vocals and we play indie/art rock/folksy stuff with an eclectic bunch of influences including: Nick Cave, Black Country New Road, Destroyer, Neil Young, Sufjan Stevens, Belle and Sebastian, Sparklehorse, Animal Collective, Songs Ohia, King Krule, Wilco, Krautrock and Mercury Rev.

We're looking for a skilled keys player with gigging experience, experience with using synth software like Arturia and competence with doing backing vocals would also be a huge plus!! I write a decent share of the keyboard lines but I'm also happy for collaboration with developing them and am usually open to ideas, sometimes I'm happy to hand over the keyboard responsibilities to someone else. Ideally it'd be someone who can start ASAP and we need someone who can commit time to practices and gig fairly regularly.
