Experienced guitarist/songwriter looking for a passionate, confident lead vocalist to front a brand-new emo/punk band inspired by the likes of My Chemical Romance, The Used, Alkaline Trio, Rise Against, Thursday, The Lawrence Arms and Taking Back Sunday.
I’ve played in multiple bands over the years and have toured extensively, often as the frontman. While I enjoy singing, I’m now looking to focus fully on guitar and songwriting, and I’d love to collaborate with a dedicated vocalist who can truly own the front of the stage. I’ll happily contribute backing vocals and harmonies to build a big, dynamic sound.
What I’m looking for:
- A vocalist (male or female) ideally in their 20s/30s
- Strong, emotive delivery with real presence and intensity
- The ability to switch between aggressive, raw energy and more controlled, melodic moments
- Confidence to engage and command a crowd
- A genuine passion for the genre and a desire to build something with identity and purpose
Lyric writing skills are a bonus, but absolutely not essential. I’m a confident lyricist, so if you’re a vocalist who’s been put off originals bands because of the pressure to write lyrics, don’t let that stop you, this could be a great fit!
I take my projects seriously and am looking for someone who shares that mindset. The goal is to write strong material, play shows, record and release music, and really push the band forward, assuming that the chemistry is right. This isn’t a casual jam project.
I have solid recording and production experience, including having a track I recorded played on BBC Radio. While I’m not claiming to replace a top-tier producer, I can record high-quality demos (and potentially full releases). The plan would be to meet up, write together, write four or five songs, and then take them into a rehearsal space to shape them into a live set. I’m also in the process of locking in other members from musicians I already know in the scene.
If you’re hungry to front a serious emo/punk band with a clear visual and artistic identity, and you’re ready to put the work in, I’d love to hear from you.
Drop me a message with links to any recordings or videos you have. Let’s build something exciting!
