Hi!
I'm Jess, a female vocalist located near Portsmouth. I've been singing for some time now but have struggled with stage fright trying to perform on my own. With a band, however, the nerves become irrelevant. Electro swing is the sassy, upbeat, energetic genre that helps me bring out my confidence and lets me enjoy the music. The team element and fun is an equally important part as well, along with having a collectively upbeat and proactive vision!
What I'm looking for is to either pull together an elctro swing band from scratch, or join an already existing electro swing band as female vocals
From SCRATCH I'm looking to find one of each of the following, give or take a few if needs be, it's not a concrete list, just an idea at present..
Dj, Pianist, Trumpet, Clarinet, Drums, Vibraphone, Trombone, Male vocals, Saxophone, plus some extra percussion instruments as well like triangles, bells etc... small instruments that can be encompassed by a group as a whole or taken on by a passionate individual on their own.
The most important thing is that there is a ton of energy, style, fun, sassiness, confidence, and that you can bring your own creative juices to the table to work together and write material of our own and work passionately to grow as a team and as a band!
Joining an EXISTING band:
I'm ready to bring great vocals full of sass, energy, confidence, ability to write lyrics, and an awesomely bright and bubbly energy that I think would bring bundles of fun to an audience. I really enjoy working in a team together to build and grow together and seeing the fruits of the team work in the end result!
