Deeper Season are looking for a good, committed drummer.
We are an established cover band playing mainly alternative 80's covers - The Cure, Simple Minds, Tears for fears, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, The Smiths, Teardrop Explodes etc etc. The set is changing and developing all the time. Full set on our Facebook page or message for further details.
We play most weekends all over the North East and North Yorks, pub gigs mainly, some private functions and a few choice festival slots in summer. Full gig listing on our Facebook page or message for further details.
Drummers should have own equipment of a decent standard and own transport, be prepared and committed to regular gigging and also be willing to rehearse when required. We rehearse in Barnard Castle, Co Durham.
Being a fan of the style of music we play would be a massive bonus and would obviously make the whole experience more enjoyable for you.
We are looking for someone who plays with passion to a good, live standard and isn't afraid to try songs which may seem a bit out of the ordinary.
We try to play the songs as close to the originals as possible apart from slight changes to help the song work in a live environment. Free styling won't really work unfortunately but we're not adverse to a bit of artistic license if it works within the context of the song.
Please don't contact us if you have limited playing/gigging experience, are not sure you have the time to commit to gigs, are not willing to learn the songs for the auditions/rehearsals or think you can wing it and play any beat.
The band is made up of vocals, guitar, keys, bass and drums with members age ranges from 40's - early 60's so age is not a problem. We like to enjoy ourselves and have fun doing this and ideally our new drummer is like minded.
If you want the job, drop us a PM on here or you can text on 07986 536065 and we can go from there.
A video, you tube link etc showing us what you can do would be handy for starters if you have one. We look forward to hearing from you.
