Hi there the King of May, is looking for a drummer for our new live line-up.
We're an established band we've played together for years, last year we were playing regular gigs on the circuit of London venues but we've taken a few months away from playing live and we're itching to get back into playing regular gigs.
We're looking for someone who is tight, tasteful with a sense of playing what suits the song and enjoys locking-in to the rest of the group. Our songs aren't complex musically but for the right drummer they're perfect for letting groove and Jesus take the wheel. Kind of drummers we think are great: Ringo Starr, (obviously), Levon Helm, Charlie Watts, Moe Tucker, Reni Mike Joyce - and if you can give it a whallop like John Bonham everyone once in a while - well that's the dream!
We have access to a practice space in Peckham. We're on the hunt for someone who is dedicated and committed to practicing weekly with the aim of getting the live band as tight as possible.
