Dear Drummers,
What you’ll be getting involved in:
It’s blues/blues-rock album with 9 tracks ready to go. Full guide tracks are available but, you will be able to have creative input. We have a range of different time signatures so it’s crucial you can play to a high level and able to record to a click. You will need to be able to hold a solid groove but, also able to write interesting drum solos when required.
It’s not a live project and there’s no gigs, instead it’s an album and you’ll get amazing musicians from around the world to take part. Many are already lined up for this via an agency.
You’ll be on a professionally produced album assembling top talent from around the globe and have instruments on this create work that would not be accessible via a live playing project such as brass or stringed instruments.
The drummer will be able to voice their ideas and provide rhythmic insights on each track.
You will be credited on each song and when the album is released onto streaming platforms via DSP and physical media you’ll be eligible for royalties split.
The DAW I use on this project is Logic Pro, we aim to record the album but, also create behind the scenes footage for a social media account and to establish a Patreon account.
Success will look like:
- Getting the album fully recorded, mixed, mastered and available via both streaming and a limited amount of physics media.
- To find listeners via blues playlists/broadcasting via radio and other media outlets. Radio station already in mind from previous conversations with someone I know.
- To create a sonically impressive album with musicians you couldn’t normally get access to.
Please do bear in mind as this is a start-up it will take patience and time to try fully produce the album.
The idea of the Patreon and social media accounts is to help find and create opportunities for fans to engage with us in the long-term and bring sustainability.
Age is not important, location is not an issue as it’s a remote recording project.
If interested please send me a DM and tell me a little bit about yourself, please explain a little about why you like blues music, artists/bands from the genre that you like and supply some links to your playing and experience. Links to any social media accounts you run would be ideal too.
Many thanks,
Mike.
