Currently we are a two-member rock and metal band with keyboards. We are clearly currently planning on playing to pre-recorded click tracks which we have prepared.
We have engaged management however and looking to start gigging around August to coincide with the release date of our initial album with live drums an ambition.
We are seeking an above competent, team playing drummer for our project with a view to gigging solidly for at minimum the next year. We are anticipating 2 to 3 gigs a month initially and almost certainly on a paying supporting basis with other bands in our management 'stable'.
We are clearly treating this as for the time being our "second job" for income and both registered self employed.
We have two albums worth of material which are being released in August and end of 25 respectively. Coordinating with management, we are independently releasing the albums for download and streaming with the seeking of radio play and review. We also have future merch aspirations in limited run CD's and shirts - we have gained quotes and placing orders late July. We have uploaded some of our tracks to the distributor and arranged sale at iTunes, Spotify and YouTube.
We have requested review and interest has been strong under the circumstances and culminated in a national review due to be published around August.
We are just in the process of updating our extensive list of contacts (with management input an addition) and seeking radio play from May '25 and venue approaching at the same time. Our manager is happy for us to work independently provided he is kept informed.
The appointed drummer will be talented with ability for fast double kick and also the ability to play to a click track so we can sequence the keyboards. The drummer will have all the equipment required for live performance in addition to an electronic kit (or willing to purchase one AFTER January 2026 - you may have sufficient income from gigs to acquire a kit in the sales also income tax deductible. Our former drummer had 4 toms, hat, ride, two crashes, snare and double kick - drum software has maximum 13 triggers) so that we may continue to independently record. We also have a PC copy of Superior Drummer 3 by Toontrack for the new drummer if needed with 'standalone' package.
To cover fees and gig costs it is imperative that you have employment and transport with a view to fulltime music commitment within the next two years. Obviously, there will be some recompense in terms of performance fees but no royalties from the initial first few albums.
Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) ownership an advantage.
Sheet music and MIDI available for ease of learning songs. Isolated tracks and full studio quality recordings also available.
We are not rehearsing currently but looking at regular fortnightly rehearsals in Lincoln commencing beginning 8th May 25 with fortnightly rehearsals for preparation of gigs in August.
Touring potential in holiday breaks from work.
