I’m a guitarist based in Leicester putting together an original post-grunge/alternative-metal band called Sleepburn.
The sound is dark, heavy and melodic: low-tuned riffs, tense verses, big choruses and occasional breakdowns. Main influences include Influences include 10 Years, Saint Asonia, Red, Taproot, SOiL and Nonpoint—melodic, riff-driven modern rock with a heavier edge.
I’m currently looking for:
- A vocalist capable of strong melodic vocals with grit and aggression when needed. Full-time screaming isn’t the direction.
- A drummer who can deliver tight grooves, heavy accents and breakdowns without treating every song as a speed contest.
- A bassist who wants an audible, creative role rather than simply following the guitar throughout every song.
The project is in its early stages, but there is already a large original-song catalogue and a proposed heavy 30-minute first set. The immediate plan is to find the right members, rehearse the strongest material in Leicester, develop the arrangements as a band and begin gigging when the set is genuinely ready.
These are AI-assisted pre-production concept demos. They demonstrate the core songwriting, riffs, structures, vocal melodies and intended atmosphere; they are not recordings of an existing full band. Nobody would be expected to reproduce every generated part note-for-note. I want members to contribute their own parts and personality while preserving the strongest riffs, hooks and overall identity of each song.

I’m looking for people who genuinely connect with this style, can learn material between rehearsals and want to help turn strong song blueprints into a real working band. The aim is serious, but it should still be enjoyable and collaborative.
Rehearsals would primarily be in Leicester, initially around once a week depending on everyone’s availability. Roughly 20s–30s preferred, although musical fit, reliability and attitude matter most.
If interested, send me:
- Your instrument/role
- Your location
- Your main influences
- Your general availability
- Any recordings or performance clips you have
- Which of the three demos you connected with most
No polished footage is required—I mainly want to know what you play, what you’re looking for and whether the musical direction appeals to you.
