Drummer, Bass Player and Guitarist needed for rehearsals, gigging and recording,
King Dodo were Danielle Perry on Absolute Radios “Self Released Artist of the a month” due to other commitments previous members are are unable to commit to be reliable for regular rehearsals and gigs and recording and releasing EPs,
Ages 20-40 but all considered if keen and able to rehearse weekly and be ready to gig asap as currently turning gigs down.
New 4th EP is in the early stages of production.
The goal is to be busy and gigging and recording and releasing as much as possible.
3 EPs released. The most recent “babble” was released on Xmas Eve 2024. And has been played on absolute radio as mentioned above and also a couple of other stations.
Influences : Ween, Super furry Animals, Townes Van Zandt, Screaming Trees, CCR, New Model Army (first EP was co produced with ex New Model Army guitarist Dave Blomberg) , Levellers, Rev Hammer, Gomez, Gorillaz, Stiff Little Fingers , TRex and pretty much anything that has some heart and soul!
Initially meet up and play through songs as an audition and then learn songs together before starting at rehearsal room as a band.
Have had several band line ups over the years due to moving around but have been featured in various radio shows, national and regional press, have a decent social media set up and music videos for first EPs and a Merch page has gone live this week.
The goal is to be out gigging locally in the next couple of months and then begin bookings further afield and start booking for the next years festival slots but need solid band members.
The music is best described as weird alt rock, there’s scope for all kinds of sounds from rock to more electronic and acoustic, ability on your instrument and ability to play to a click as well as a voice capable of backing vocals are all essential.
Own equipment and transport needed but transport could be worked out at a push.

It would be possible to play as. Three piece as have done for years before for an extra guitarist is needed to make life a bit easier for gigs and to thicken the sound as much as possible!
