Hi, I’m a 35yr old male drummer, looking to potentially form a differsort of covers bands if enough people are interested. I’ll be honest I’m a little rusty but i just struggle to practice at home, have plenty of gigging experience and own gear. Thinking of songs people don’t necessarily cover much, or heavying up/rearranging pop and rock/metal songs. Would also be interested in covering bands like prodigy/pendulum/faithless etc…..
I just need the rest of the band to give it a go! Aim would be local gigs/parties/weddings etc with a repitoire to cover most of what somebody may want.
I’d quite like to be versatile etc depending on venue/gig/crowd but am quite happy to do anything from abba or prince for example if we can make it cool or get some heavier tunes together for when it suits /current top 40/old rock/new rock/dance/ mash ups/metal etc etc you get the idea
I’m personally a metal fan at heart but I appreciate not many pubs and clubs want to hear slipknot etc!
This is a very skeletal idea at the moment, and something I would need help and input to achieve. Weddings/pubs in particular go from live band to a dj or jukebox, why not have the ability to do a set that covers both? I’m not talking 4hr gigs just the ability to be as versatile as possible and have fun doing it. Maybe two 45mins of rock/pop etc and a 45min of dance/d&b etc??? Something different….just an idea!
Thinking about -
Lead guitar
Rhythm guitar
Bass
Definitely keys/samples perhaps
Vocalist
Mix of guys and girls is cool, age, experience, ability not important, if it’s something you can do or something you want to do get in touch. I just want to make a cool sound that people remember, the ultimate feel good band.
No prima donnas or rockstars, it’s gotta be fun, after creative ppl who are bored playing the same old covers.
I think it’s got the potential to be an awesome project.
