We are The White Noise Collective, a professional function band based in Bristol. Aiming to step away from the conventional wedding repertoire, we perform a diverse set of upbeat Pop, Soul, Funk and Motown, spanning the decades.
We are a collective of experienced performers looking for a guitarist to fill in a couple of dates already set in 2024, as well as be willing to take on some ad hoc/dep work throughout the year due to the availability of our current guitarist. We are looking for an individual who will be willing and happy to take on some lower paid bar/pub gigs as well as the higher paid agency work, as and when it comes. If you're a professional function musician looking for top dollar, this probably isn't the right fit for you. We are a driven group with the common goal of getting this off of the ground, and looking to fill as many dates as possible.
We require a guitarist that has previous experience performing with backing tracks/click tracks, or a willingness to learn as we perform all of our repertoire this way. We would require someone that does have performance experience and a good level of playing ability. You'd need to have access to your own transport.
Most of the set list learning would be required from home; with the occasional rehearsal to meet up and polish things off. We were initially rehearsing in Weston Super Mare and Bristol, however due to the location of our drummer, will likely be moving them to the Wiltshire/Swindon area more often to account for everyones commute! As the bulk of our rehearsals being done at home, travelling for the occasional rehearsal works well for all of us. This would suit someone in the Bristol/Bath/Wiltshire area.
Our attitude towards our group is committed, but laid back and friendly and we’re looking for someone who is easy going and personable to fit right in!
