WANTED: Drummer & Multi-Instrumentalist for Ultimate Clapton/Hendrix Project
We are a Lead Guitarist and a Bassist/Backing Vocalist on a mission to celebrate the "God" of the electric guitar. We are forming a high-caliber band dedicated to the sprawling career of Eric Clapton, with a heavy side of Jimi Hendrix for that essential psychedelic edge.
The Vision
This isn't just a "greatest hits" act; it’s a deep dive into the evolution of the blues-rock era. Our setlist spans:
The Early Years: John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers.
The Power Trios: Cream and Blind Faith.
The Masterpieces: Derek and the Dominos (Layla era).
The Solo Journey: From the '70s comeback to the modern blues-pop era.
The Psychedelic Twist: Interweaving Hendrix classics to keep the energy high and the jams fluid.
Who We Need
We are looking for two dedicated pieces to complete the puzzle:
1. The Drummer
Must be comfortable with Ginger Baker’s jazz-influenced power and Mitch Mitchell’s fluid, "lead" drumming style.
Solid time-keeping is a must, but the ability to improvise during extended jams is key.
2. Keys (with Vocals) OR 2nd Guitarist (with Vocals)
Keyboardist: Looking for those Hammond B3 organs and soulful piano textures.
Guitarist: Someone who can lock in on rhythm but also trade harmonies/leads.
Vocals: Since we want to capture that Bobby Whitlock/Steve Winwood vocal blend, strong lead or harmony vocals are a huge plus.
The Goal
We want to get a tight, professional set together for local venues, festivals, and blues clubs. We’re looking for players who are "pro-level" in spirit—meaning you show up rehearsed, have reliable gear, and are ready to play with soul.
