We're looking for a bassist to join our Bristol based band. We are currently 2 guitarists/vocalists and a drummer. Our ages vary a fair bit from 19-33, so we'd like someone who falls into this bracket. It's early days, as we just recently put this project together and did one rehearsal. The two of us on guitar have known eachother for years and we've been working on some material together lately, randomly found a drummer after a local gig, got talking and had a rehearsal and things clicked. Now we'd like a commited bassist to join and lay down some heavy riffage and flesh out the sound. Ideally someone who wants to take things to a serious level in the future, gig locally as soon as we are able and contribute to the writing process. If you'd like to take a step back approach and just vibe with our songs, or if you'd like to contribute your own songs, riffs, vocals etc, we don't mind, we just wanna have fun and a collaboration where everyone's happy.
Gear is not too important right now, as we are still just writing and trying to tighten up the couple of songs we have finished but some willingness to buy the right stuff in the near future, like a good bass amp, preamp pedal, better bass if playing a rusted old axe or something would be great. We're getting things together ourselves so no rush. We'd ideally like to play loud high wattage tube amps, being versatile with some smaller more portable setups for smaller gigs, so we intend to spend a fair bit of our income to make that happen over time.
