BASSIST WANTED – LOSER PUPPY
Loser Puppy are on the hunt for a new bassist!
We've been together for a few years now, but due to various personal circumstances, things have been a bit quiet for the past year or so.
We're looking to get things moving again, with the aim of getting back to gigging and recording in the new year.
We're a high-energy rock band that isn't afraid to be a bit silly. After all, what's the point of doing this if you can't have a bit of fun and a laugh along the way? We take the music seriously, but ourselves considerably less so.

While we'd like to keep performing some of our existing material, our main focus going forward is on writing, recording and performing new music.
Our influences include Cardiacs, System Of a Down, Primus, Oingo Boingo, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mr. Bungle, Dead Kennedys etc.
We're not looking for someone to just learn the basslines and turn up to rehearsals. We want someone who'll bring their own ideas to the table and be an active part of the creative process.
So, what are we looking for?
Essentials:
• A basic understanding of music theory
• Ability to improvise and write your own bass parts
• Willingness to get involved in collaborative songwriting
• Not afraid to look a bit ridiculous when the occasion calls for it
• Ability to commit to weekly rehearsals
Strongly preferred:
• Own transport
• Ability to sing backing vocals
• A broad and varied taste in music
• Plenty of energy and stage presence
Location / Rehearsals
We currently rehearse every Sunday in Great Harwood, East Lancashire, but for the right person we'd be happy to consider moving rehearsals towards Manchester/Salford etc.
Ultimately, we're looking for someone who's enthusiastic, creative, reliable and, most importantly, someone we get along with. Musical ability matters, but so does having a good time making music together.
