Why not start 2019 in style by becoming We Used To See The Sky’s new bass player? We’ve been going for a year now. You can check us and some of our music here www.weusedtoseethesky.com
Our influences include Radiohead, Everything Everything, Twenty One Pilots, Queens of the Stone Age, Jack White, Duran Duran and many more. We don’t particularly sound like any of them, but their DNA is somewhere in our music.
We play venues around the Bristol area such as headline slots at The Louisiana, and have written more than 15 songs. In the new year we will be releasing our first single on Spotify and other digital platforms, and plan to release more over the next 12 months. We will also continue to play live shows to support our releases, with the aim of increasing our following in Bristol and beyond.
As our ideal bassist you will have a clear direction when it comes to thinking up interesting parts, and you’re a team player. You have your own transport and are well organised. You will be open to a bunch of musical variety. You can cope with questionably funny WhatsApp messages. You will always bring cash to rehearsals (inside joke).
Experience of playing live and on record is obviously desirable, but not entirely necessary if you’re brilliant! Maybe this is something you always wanted to do and you feel ready to take that next step. We like that kind of person - we all started somewhere. 😀
We rehearse every Wednesday in Bristol.
If your interested let me know. We are holding auditions through January.
Cheers
Paul
