BASS PLAYER WANTED for well-loved, established and energetic Folk/Americana/Indie-Country & Roots band, Concrete Prairie.
Our current 4 stringer Dan has made the decision to step away from the band to focus on family commitments.
We have a diverse set of influences so there will be plenty of scope to rock out as well as hold back - we pride ourselves on having quite a varied set which is mainly original music with a few covers up our sleeves.
Our debut album was released in 2022 to great reviews including a 10/10 from Americana UK and we have played many, many festivals (including Godney Gathering, Sidmouth Folk Festival, Home Farm Fest, 7 Hills Festival & West Country Music Festival) and supported top acts within our genre such as Mad Dog McRea, Rusty Shackle, Leylines and Matt Owens (Noah & The Whale). Album two is nearly all written but not yet recorded, something we hope to be doing soon so you’ll have the opportunity to write basslines and put your mark on this.
We LOVE playing live and this is reflected in our performances which have been described as “upbeat hope-folk” and “epic Americana”. We’re proud to have a reputation for putting on a good show, something we have built up the old fashioned way - by playing good gigs and plenty of them.
Looking for someone who is ego-less and reliable; up for having a good time while simultaneously taking it seriously. Ability to sing harmony is a big bonus but not essential. Music means so much to us as individuals and it provides our ultimate escape so hope to bring in someone like minded!
