Hi,
My old local has had a refurb and they've now got a stage there! As such, they're looking for bands to reel everyone in. I was asked if I could find some reprobates to play there! This will likely be a one-off paid gig, but if one thing leads to another then fair enough.
Looking for ideally a power trio. I have played drums and guitar for years, looking to add some novelty by swapping in the 2nd set to play guitar, so ideally need a clone of me- someone who can play guitar and drums! Oh, and a bassist that can sing would complete the look, too.
Setlist will be mostly rock, Britpop, indie, pop, the usual stuff. The only thing I want to avoid is any "Cover band Bingo" songs, so no Sweet Home Alabama, no Mr Brightside etc. I have my own drum kit and guitar (and a Boss Loop pedal!), happy to share, but only have a small practice amp, not suitable for live gigs. Let's talk!
My guitar setlist is as follows, I can even throw in some John Frusciante-style backing vocals to thicken the texture. Drum setlist I'm easy and can discuss what you'd like to play and pick it up.
Steely Dan - Reeling in the Years
ZZ Top - Tush & Just Got Paid
Boston - Smokin'
Oasis - LYLA & Cigarettes and Alcohol
The Vapors - Turning Japanese
Clutch - Electric Worry
Thin Lizzy - Don't believe a Word
James Blunt - 1973
Cream - Crossroads
Foster the People - Pumped up Kicks
Blue Oyster Cult - Godzilla
White Stripes - The Denial Twist
Kansas - Carry on Wayward Son
Wolfmother - Woman
Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away
RHCP - Tell me Baby & She Looks to Me
Hope to talk to you soon if you're interested!
Sam
