I'm a guitarist, noise-maker and singer looking for a bassist and drummer to form a group focussed on improvisation and spontaneous song writing in a sorta pop context. Think unusually melodic, wonky pop songs. I'm sucking up Hen Ogledd and Old Table a lot so check them out
Other musical skills also very much appreciated. Well into that.
I write music fast and I'm not a perfectionist. I'm also not an extreme noise artist/free improv convert/provocateur/performance artist. I like this stuff but I don't do it, also it's all looking a bit stale at the moment. There's lots to be explored in the gentle side of things...
I've not got a lot up at the mo. Check out my other project New Keys for a vague idea of where I am. I can send tracks over if you're interested, hard to explain what I do.

This won't be a group studio composition thing I'm not going to record stems and send them round for people to add parts to. Waste of time for this sort of thing. Really want to improvise stuff with people and get that flowing.
Been pushed out of three post-punk bands now for coming up with guitar parts that were too out there. Therefore looking for #relateables
I like odd music but also your usual pop fan. Used to be a folk singer and grew up listening to blues but now I'm a hip hop head (hot take: hip hop now is as good as it ever was, yep mumble rap doesn't suck). I guess I'm also a post-punk fan (who isn't) and lover of the weird stuff of that period (gang of four, fall, Japan, this heat, wire, Jesus lizard, minutemen, raincoats, sleater-kinney etc).
Key groups I'm into now: everything by Richard Dawson, bjork, Denzel curry, Janelle monáe, the internet, Sleaford mods, Daniel Johnston (rip), Old Table, local north east groups like Yeah You, Unit Ama...
Happy to have conversations about this. Do message me and that, it's a weird topic.
Also, MUST be queer friendly. Goes without saying really but I'm sick of the straight boy club that London often is. Very keen to meet fellow queer musicians
