We're looking for a bassist and drummer to complete the line-up for the reboot of an established 2000s indie covers band.
We're looking for committed, gig-ready musicians who want to build something tight, high-energy, professional and genuinely in-demand.
We'll be covering the best of 2000s indie rock, including:
The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, The Libertines, The Kooks, Kasabian, The Wombats, Razorlight, The Fratellis, The Hives, The Coral, and many more.
The aim is to build a flexible repertoire of 40+ songs, centred on the indie dancefloor classics of the 2000s.
We're deliberately keeping the concept focused: no generic 90s-to-modern covers set... although the occasional cheeky 1999/2010 exception might sneak through.
What we're building
- A tight, high-energy 2000s indie live show
- Regular gigs across pubs, bars, clubs and music venues
- Strong crowd interaction and proper live arrangements
- A professional reputation that gets us booked again and again
- A band where everyone contributes to making the project successful
The core gigging area will be Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, regularly extending into Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding counties. We will also be open to travelling further across the UK when the gig and money justify it. the band had a footprint in the area a couple of years ago before splitting up, so the name is popular and my gain traction again quite quickly.
What we need from you:
- Be reliable and genuinely committed to the project
- Be able to rehearse weekly initially, moving towards fortnightly once we're established and gigging
- Have good Friday/Saturday night availability
- Have your own transport
- Have decent, gig-ready equipment
- Learn material properly outside rehearsals
- Be willing to contribute to the band beyond simply turning up and playing
And if you happen to own a decent PA system you're willing to bring gigs, you may immediately become a front-runner.
