BASS PLAYER WANTED – ULTRAFoxx
Ultrafoxx, the established tribute to both eras of Ultravox and the solo work of John Foxx, are looking for a talented, experienced and committed bass player to join the band.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely appreciates the music, enjoys performing live and wants to be part of an established project.
What we’re looking for:
* An experienced and versatile bass player with excellent timing and attention to detail and can put there own stamp on the music.
* Confidence playing alongside backing tracks and sequencers.
* Comfortable using modern live performance technology. We operate a silent stage setup with IEMs, with bass and effects running directly into our sound system.
* Reliable, committed and properly prepared for rehearsals and live performances.
* Willing and able to travel for rehearsals and gigs.
* A team player with a positive attitude who takes the music seriously without taking themselves too seriously.
A little about us:
Ultrafoxx is an established tribute project performing material from both the John Foxx and Midge Ure eras of Ultravox, alongside John Foxx’s solo work.
We have gigs already booked for 2027, an established live setup and quality material. There’s also plenty of opportunity for the right person to contribute creatively and become an important part of the band’s future.
We’re based around Liverpool and Peterborough/Spalding, so some travelling will be necessary.
Let’s be realistic about the money. This isn’t a project that’s going to make anyone rich. We do it because we love the music and enjoy performing it. We’re looking for someone who shares that enthusiasm and understands what being part of a committed working band involves.
Interested?
Send us a short introduction, some details about your musical experience and, ideally, links to videos or recordings of your playing.
Above all, we’re looking for the right person who fits in musically and personally.
And if you’re already an Ultravox or John Foxx fan, that’s a very good start.
