Edit: We've almost got the full lineup. Just needing a bass player now. It doesn't matter if you're inexperienced, as long as you're willing to practise at home and rehearse in a studio once a week.
Hi all,
I'm a singer, getting a band together to play strictly mainstream pop rock/rock and roll covers, so the major hits of bands/musicians such as The Beatles, Stones, GnR, Stereophonics, Kings of Leon, Queen, Abba, Oasis, Blur, Bay City Rollers, Duran Duran, Kasabian, UB40, Elvis Presley, Arctic Monkeys, Def Leppard, Green Day, Pulp, The Killers, plus one hit wonders as long they were big hitters.
The reason for the above is that I was in a rock covers band so I know what goes down well and gets folk up dancing.
What I'm looking for is a lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist or keys player, bass player and last but definitely not least, a drummer. Backing vocals would be great as well. I'd rather have on board inexperienced people that really want to do it and are willing to put in weekly rehearsals, than experienced players who aren't that bothered. Paul's Halls in Cumbernauld would be my ideal choice for rehearsals but I've got a car so can get to wherever suits us all best.
We'll be looking to play at least one gig per month, maybe two, which I'll get us sorted with.
I left my last band because I had planned to move abroad but it didn't work out. Here's a montage the drummer made for me when I left, just so you can see how I get the crowd going. The reason for the song played over the top is because the guitarist burst a string our second gig in, so I started singing that song acapella, and everyone belted out the chorus with me, so every time something ocurred where the lads had to stop playing, that was the song I sang to keep the crowd with us.
