Bass player looking to create band Exeter and Taunton (and in between)

Hi everyone,

I'm a bass player and singer in my 30s, looking to put together a band of similar aged individuals, on a variety of instruments, ideally a guitarist or two and a drummer, but wouldn't say no to other instruments that fit the style I'm looking for - think Frank Turner style music, works well acoustic / busking style but can be heavied up a bit.

We'd write our own songs but also play covers in a folk-punk style, then look to get gigs, playing the local area, maybe at weddings and events, that sort of thing.

My image is to have others in the band front up and sing some songs that they're passionate about playing or that fit their voice and/or swap instruments if that would fit a certain song (e.g. if the drummer can play guitar and wanted to sing a song but couldn't whilst drumming, he/she would then take a guitar and someone backfills on drums...). My partner also sings and she could be a 'featuring' vocalist on some/all songs...
