Brighton punk/metal band Blow Up Doll are looking for fuzz heavy/ metal badass female Lead Guitarist!!!!! We need somebody committed, creative, and confident they can learn our current set/ play it tightly in time for our slot in Metal 2 The Masses competition as well as helping finalise newer tracks we hope to add to the set in time.
We want somebody commited and creative who can put their own stamp on existing songs, help write new material and tour/ play the festival scene with us after the release of our first LP- which we are currently getting ready to record!
Dates: April 21st (confirmed gig); if we progress: May 26th & June 4th (semi/final), and Bloodstock Festival – Aug 7th–10th.
We rehearse weekly (usually Sundays but with some flexibility) and are about to record our first LP, and want a fuzz heavy/ metal guitarist to reflect/ help realise the style of our newer material and direction we’re headed in style wise. We are looking for someone who is a team player to join long-term, help shape new material, and push the band forward.
We’re friends as well bandmates who have drinks/ hangout after practice so looking for someone to fit this vibe- who’ll have fun with us but is serious about the music!
Ideally want a female guitarist- they’re so under represented in the metal/punk scene and we want to even out our lineup (male drummer and bassist, female guitarist/singer songwriter).
Get in touch via email, socials or drop me (Romy) a message on 07584598456 and a clip of you playing and we’ll go from there!
