Hey Folks,
I’m a country singer/songwriter recently moved to Kings Lynn, I've been asked to play a full band set at the Buckle and Boots Country festival in Manchester at the end of May, if you’re not familiar its a pretty big festival with a great turnout, a large line-up that includes both UK and international artists
Having only recently moved to Lynn i don’t really know anyone and i’m really struggling to find local musicians to work with, i’ve been trying to get some guys together back in Essex where i lived before moving here, but travelling there for rehearsals is obviously extremely long winded and taxing, and im worried i won’t be able to get down there enough to get a band ready for the show in time
What im looking for is a full band, maybe a local original or cover band, ideally with a lead singer who can also play an instrument so im not putting anyone out of place, that would be up for learning my set and travelling to Manchester for the show,
There is a fee involved so no one will be walking away empty handed, but thats something to be further discussed, obviously it is a Country festival and i am a country artist, so a vague interest in the genre would be great but my roots are in rock and metal so the music would work fine with a basic rock band backline, lead and rhythm guitar, bass and drums, i also play a 12string acoustic on some tracks
If there is anyone out there who would be up for this please give me a call, i even have accommodation organised, i just need a good band that can learn the songs and follow my lead, and that i can rehearse with locally, if i can get that together it should be a great show and a lot of fun, the songs are not complicated, and they make for a decent set
