Ok, first things first, it isn't official Vocaloid, i'm using Synthesizer V with the Eleanor Forte voicebank. The vocal quality is pretty excellent, definitely rivalling the real thing.
I've had my eye on vocal synthesis for a while now, but after trying out the software today I've decided to go for it. I'm a 20 year old multiinstrumentalist (mainly guitar) with a fairly wide range of tastes. I'm thinking of using the beats and grooves of bands like The Prodigy and Justice, along with the sounds and themes of Emo Rock like My Chemical Romance. Vocaloid influences are Siinamota, Wowaka and Neru in that order.
I would love to be able to perform in the future, but irl shows would probably be something I do in a different project. Using Synth5 would be a perfect opportunity to experiment with VR performance, something I'm also very interested in and probably even have the ability to actually do.
My main software is Ableton, but I've used a fair amount of different programs and never been satisfied with any of them. I have guitars, e-drums, an e-piano and a synthesiser, all of which I can record with.
I don't have any samples of my SynthV work as I litterally just started today, but I'm starting out with a cover of Keane's Nothing In My Way, and hope to have that up soon.
If you want to help write the most up-beat depressive song in history, by all means message me. I might even respond!
Edit: Remember that bit when I said "I'm starting out with a cover of Keane's Nothing In My Way, and hope to have that up soon."? Well I did it, but it turns out Keane didn't use a metronome so trying to get the timing right was actually impossible. It's not the worst thing I've ever made, but please keep this in mind when you listen, the timing is really bad:
