Hi, I'm looking to get an animal welfare/vegan/environmental punk music project going. I can't sing, so I'm looking for a singer first off. But if you can play other instruments, or write lyrics, thats great too.
I've been messing around with a solo project for a few years. I did an EP a few years ago, released a single a couple of years ago and more recently just messing around creating demos and coming up with ideas (I could not tell you what chords they were played in, as I like to mess around with random tunings).
I play guitar, can play bass and have a drum machine/sampler I use for drums and effects. I also have a vocal processor. I had a track played on BBC Introducing Newcastle.
Would be looking to get a few tracks going, home demo recording, then get some local gigs sorted. If it gets going well, then would be up for doing gigs around the country, festivals, etc.
It's a bit of a mix, my influences are Zounds, Joy Division, Conflict, Subhumans, SLF, but I also like early Green Day, Blink 182, etc. To be honest I like most genres from blues to trance, and I tend to flit around and try and make something different, with random tunings/chords, etc. Looking to do something a bit different.
Must be a vegan(would consider vegetarian), mainly for being involved/passionate in what the music is about. If you want to contribute with your own lyrics/ideas even better. If you can play an instrument, the more the merrier. Get in touch. Not looking for perfection, quite the opposite. Cheers
