Long post warning,
Firstly I work shift work, so I'm looking for people who are happy to gig once maybe twice a month. This isn't a project for gigging every weekend, its just fun.
It also means occasionally I cant rehearse on our designated night but I can rearrange or we can skip a week, it averages to about 1 in 5 weeks where I'm working. I know my shifts for at least a year in advance so it wont be sprung on anyone.
It worked well with the previous band as they both had young children, so if you're cool with that read on.....
I'm Ross, I'm 33 and I'm looking to form a 3 piece Alt Rock/ Punk/ Grunge Coverband so I'm after a Drummer and Bass player, ideally both with some Vocals, who are happy playing with IEM's and the odd click track. I know, its specific!
Currently I live in Essex and have a superb band that I'm sad to leave, but I'm moving to Leeds and cant bring them with me so am looking to recreate the project there. If you check out our Instagram @byproxyband you can see what I'm trying to achieve on there.

We really like the 3 piece setup as it allows so much more sonic space and room for dynamics so I would like to keep it that way. We do however use click tracks to play string sections, piano sections, sound fx etc. This means playing with IEMS so you'd have to be comfortable or open to the idea of that. It was revolutionary for me.
I have all the gear for live except the PA speakers, we had a really good deal down here where we would hire a Bose F1 system and given that we only gig every 4 weeks it was more cost effective than spending the few thousand required for a system of that quality. However I do have a Mackie DL1608 wireless mixer, drum mics, vocal mics and instrument mics, all the cables you'd ever need, DI boxes, midi keyboard, sampler, all sorts. So all you would need is your instruments, amp and IEM's if you don't already have them.

Obviously we can chop and change that when the band is formed but figured its a good place to start, we can pick some songs and have a jam. There's a real market for this stuff and with Leeds having such a great music scene I think it will really work.
I realise this is quite specific and sounds a bit dictatorial but for the right people this is a really fun project, playing to a good standard and having fun. Ideally I'm looking for people who want to really get involved, pick songs, do some social media, socialise, nerd out over gear, all that cool stuff.
I move October 21st, so lets get the ball rolling.
