Looking for a bassist and a drummer for a blues-rock trio, with myself on guitar and lead vocals. Backing vocals with the instrument is also good. Looking to keep it a trio for simplicity, and ease of organising and transport.
Details all to be confirmed with exact music etc, but hoping to start with covers then slowly introduce originals. Thinking Cream/Hendrix/Rory Gallagher/Gary Moore vibe. Would be interested into going into more rock too. Main point is to have good music that's fun to play, gives everyone their time to shine, but also works well for an audience.
To be transparent, I'm hoping to lead this with the hopes of developing a strong music career and build myself a name, but the biggest priority is putting together solid music and having fun with bandmates I can call friends. While I'm hoping to lead it, it will never be a dictatorship and your voice as a musician will be just as important as any. Any personal goals will NEVER come before the band or my relationship with you.
Plan is to spend time developing a strong sound, then look to tour locally with paid gigs. I work full time so I would work with you and your scheduling requirements too. I have just moved to Manchester for a new job, I was previously in a Hastings-based band where we played across mainly Sussex and Kent. I'm looking to replicate that structure, but with our own sound and style.
I want the band to be of a very high quality so I am ideally looking for strong, experienced musicians with decent theory understanding, so that communication is easy, changes can be done quickly and anything is open for us to do. I myself have been playing well over 10 years, taking private lessons and learning through jazz, and have been performing for over 10 years. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, but guitar is my primary instrument.
If you are interested, please message and we can meet for a chat or a jam.
