I am a pro drummer looking to get a few extra gigs in the diary. I require an acoustic guitarist who can sing lead vocals (Male or female). I can do backing vocals and also play any bits of percussion required (Mainly Cajon). I am 23, age is not an issue.
I am looking for someone who is a excellent singer, with great communication, willingness to work and preferably local to Walsall. Own transport is not essential but preferred.
Experience on stage is a must, although experience with agencies is not essential as I will deal with that side. To enable this project to get going ASAP, it would be great if the singer/guitarist already has a decent size repertoire although this can be tailored to suit the act.
I see this project as an equal input from both myself and the singer/guitarist and as they will mostly do all the work onstage I will take it upon myself to manage off stage I.e manage bookings/enquiries, website, speaking with clients, managing payments etc etc.
I have years of experience in the agency field (Although mainly with bands) and have lots of contacts to get us on quite a few agencies and lots of local gigs to get us started off.
Material:
I was thinking soft, laid back versions of recent pop songs, kind of live lounge style, but essentially it is down to the singer/acoustic guitarist on what their style is. Our repertoire will need to be upwards of 2 hours with the ability to take requests in advance.
Payment:
Payment will be based on per show. To start us off it may be useful to do a few local pub gigs at £50-£100 each per show. Then once we are fully up and running we can start putting fees up £150-£300 each. With it being a minimal set up, it may be possible to do up to 3 shows in a day (Which is why I mentioned 'Willingness to work')
Equipment:
Singer/Acoustic guitarist will need to provide own guitars. I will provide any necessary percussion. Whilst we start up I know how we can get our hands on a PA system until we can budget for our own - We wont need anything particularity big.
Promotional Material
Agencies require high quality videos/recording/Photographs. This will be an investment that needs to be done to get the ball rolling. I know some great videographers, photographers and recording producers who will be able to help us out without charging us ridiculous amounts.
Anyone who is up for this please send me:
