Hi we’re (or rather until recently we were) an acoustic trio who are now looking for a replacement rhythm guitarist with either backing vocals or ability to share lead vocals with myself (or do them all if you’re voice is stronger). If you’re able to play lead guitar you’re more than welcome to share any guitar solos. If not there are plenty of ‘twiddly bits’ for you to get stuck into.
We are looking at paid pub gigs as soon as you’re up to speed with the set list. With regard to the songs we have around 30 outlined currently. We’re totally open to adding in/removing songs based on your vocal range/suggestions. The only non-negotiable item is that songs are selected purely on what a pub audience wants to hear, which means that they’ll need to recognise 80-90% of the tunes; for e.g. we are doing an acoustic version of ‘push the button’ (I don’t listen to the Sugarbabes either but it works live in a pub). If you’re the type who refuses to play songs because they don’t fit with your personal preferences, or if it’s not Britpop/Madchester, or you think it’s ‘boring’ then, please, keep looking and good luck.
We are 2 very easy-going and pleasant chaps with no egos who want to make music with similar. Age/sex etc not an issue. We both have lots of experience and are good players and just want someone similar who’ll learn the tunes and turn up.
Rehearsals are fortnightly (currently in my garden office in Urmston) but with summer coming we will soon have to migrate to a rehearsal room as my office isn’t sound-proofed.
I can provide audio files of a few of the songs so you can get an idea. We’re pretty good and will be better with the right 3rd person! It’s been great fun so far working through the set list.
Please drop me a text on 07446 186 884 if you’re interested and I’ll share the audio files. Neil.
