2000's Indie Rock Cover Band Musicians Wanted Northamptonshire / Bedfordshire

Experienced musician (Lead Guitarist) putting together a serious 2000s indie rock covers band with the aim of becoming one of the top live cover acts in the Northamptonshire & Bedfordshire circuit.

Looking for committed, gig-ready musicians to build something tight, professional, and in-demand.

Positions Needed:
- Male Lead Singer (bonus if you play rhythm guitar and/or keys)
- Bassist
- Drummer

We will be covering the best of 2000s indie rock, including; The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon, The Libertines, The Kooks, …and many more.

The goal would be to build a flexible setlist of ~50 songs covering indie dancefloor classics.
No 90s or modern covers (aside from the occasional cheeky 1999 / 2010 number).

The core focus is to play in the Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire counties, with a regular reach into Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and other surrounding counties.

Open to further travel across the UK for the right gigs where the opportunity and pay make sense.

What We will build:
- High-energy, tight indie covers band
- Regular gigs across pubs, bars, clubs & small venues
- Strong focus on crowd engagement and reputation
- A band that actually gets booked again and again

All Members Must:
- Be aged 20-50
- Be reliable and serious about the project
- Commit to weekly rehearsals initially (then bi-weekly once gigging)
- Be available Friday & Saturday nights for gigs
- Have your own transport
- Have decent, gig-ready equipment
- Be willing to contribute outside rehearsals (promotion, socials, etc.)

Singer Requirements:
- Male vocalist
- Strong range, able to cover the likes of Are You Gonna Be My Girl (high energy and range), to songs like Chasing Cars (more controlled and mellow)
- Confident frontman, can engage a crowd and own a room

Bass Requirements:
- Tight, clean playing style
- Good tone suited to indie (clarity over fuzz)

Drummer Requirements:
- Own a solid, gig-ready kit
- Strong dynamics and control
- Must be able to read a room (NOT just play loud)
- Must be able to play to a click for backing tracks (where needed)

Bonus points available if you have a PA System you are willing to provide the band
