Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard area. Post code HP22 ... He can of course get bus for practice (and of course, there are parent taxis ....)
My 14-year-old son (turns 15 next month) is an experienced vocalist looking to join or form a local band just for fun, jamming, and playing local gigs and to experience what the right combination of talent can achieve/produce. He already sings professionally for TV/film sync producer and has excellent stage presence but it does take him a while to come out of his shell until he gets to know you but comes to life singing and on stage. Can be a bit bonkers, in a good way, high energy and quirky/left field. He's looking for a drummer, guitarist, and bassist around ages 14–17 who are either looking for a singer to join them or looking to form a band and need a singer.
James has a pretty good good range, can sing soft/strong, high, low, learns and regurgitates rap and creates his own inflections and harmonies, always humming and singing in his bedroom, around house. Did exams got distinctions got bored. He's obviously got zero experience singing in a band but really wants to give it a go to see where it goes. `
As for musical style/genre, honestly, James seems far more interested in the song/music/impact/depth than he is about the artist or band. He doesn't care if this is cool or that isn't. For example, Coldplay! If he thinks one of their songs is good, then to him, it's a good creation. My favourite band is a band called Archive a London-formed collective dark trip-hop and electronic to prog and post-rock and cinematic art-rock and he respects them too they absolutely refuse to compromise for mainstream radio.
Musical Influences & Versatility:
James possesses an incredibly eclectic and versatile vocal style, allowing him to shift from classic theatrical drama to dark, left-field alternative tracks. His singing, rapping, and harmony influences span a broad range of legendary and contemporary artists, including Bowie, Queen, Supertramp, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse, Imagine Dragons, Empire of the Sun, Tame Impala, Royel Otis, Archive, Michael Jackson, Juice WRLD, Eminem, Kanye West, Dwele, 50 Cent, EsDeeKid, Rico Ace, Dominic Fike, Radiohead, R.E.M., The Cure, Nirvana, 2Pac, Talent, Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, Placebo, Prince, Dave, Tems, Blood Orange, Tyler, The Creator, The Clash, Garbage, Osaze & Marcus, Jane's Addiction, Imogen Heap, Clams Casino, A$AP Rocky, Lavs psb, Lanzo, Young N.K, T3IIz, Wolf Alice, Sidney Gish, Malcolm Todd, C418, R69, Avenged Sevenfold, cunu, Lady Gaga, Lil Peep, Corbon Amodio, Oliver Tree, Zavala, John Denver, Mac DeMarco, Justin Timberlake, Mac Miller, XXXTENTACION, NF, Kali, wifiskeleton, i wanna be a jack-o-lantern, sombr, Gorillaz, Shaun Ryder, Roses Gabor, Joji, Janelle Monáe (specifically "We Are Young"), Tears For Fears, Jay-Z, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Lil Wayne, Steve Lacy, Kanii, 9lives, JVKE, Porcupine Tree, Marshmello, Bastille, Lil Mosey, Tom Odell, Deli, Travis Scott, Yung Kai, Beach House, Coldplay, Kate Bush, Tkandz, CXSPER, somb, Cigarettes After Sex, James Blunt, The Killers, Tommy Richman, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Kendrick Lamar, and David Bowie. I've even heard him sound like Amy Winehouse? Then a male version of Billie Ellish, Bowie, Eminem, rapping, then Supertramp? Ballads to modern hip-hop flows, and he can even flawlessly perform complex, modern European alt-pop tracks like “Gut Genug” by KITSCHKRIEG, Blumengarten & Shirin David. Anyway - fingers crossed!
