Stoned with Friends urgently require a 5th & final band member to take the Guitar 2 slot of ‘ Ronnie Wood ‘ in our Rolling Stones Tribute band & weave lead & rhythm guitar with our Guitar 1 ‘ Keith Richards ‘ to create the authentic Rolling Stones ‘ sound ‘. The latter is crucial so will need not just general covers band guitar competence but the ability / willingness to replicate the unique ‘ Rolling Stones sound ‘ in terms of lead & rhythm licks & riffs etc & including their signature-use of Open Tuning as well as Standard tuning. A willingness to at least pay a reasonable homage to the Stones ‘ look ‘ with respect to stage clothes & stage performance ( but without it becoming pantomime-like & cringe-worthy ) is further required. More generally we seek a nice enough guy - stable but with a sense of humour & commitment to this exciting ‘ sky’s the limit ‘ tribute project. And one who can hit the ground running reasonably / best they can as we are quite advanced in our preparation with sets near completed, a few gigs now booked for a few months time & we are chasing more gigs and Agency Listings. All sounds a bit of a tall order in print but is maybe not so hard in reality so the best way forward is probably a friendly initial phone chat to me - Gary ( ‘ Mick ‘ ) - Lead Vocalist - on 07891-128507.
