I sing n play (22), drummer is 18.
First off it don't matter if we don't like the same bands infact it could be better, it's about gettin on an doin the tunes is it not? Well let me tell you more about myself so you can judge whether you think ah yes finally someone who's proper serious about actual real music an not f**ckin mopin. Here we can really do something new, exciting and very challenging, it's a true test that the world could well be designed for?
Personally I like bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees, T-Rex, David Bowie, early Pink Floyd and even a bit of metal, they keep me going on this voyage into insanity, vengance, redemption an success. I think with the right bassist we can bridge the gap between the big new "rock" or "indie" bands like The Libertines, Tame Impala and Mac Demarco and other new music like Sadtrap? Anything that's pop right now should be pushed aside for our own mature intelligent, edgyish, funny interesting spin on it all, because quite frankly I feel pretty left out, somethings missing that's not been done before which is what I'm going towards...
I think I'm versatile but unique and I don't give a f*ck when it comes to my rock n roll. I'm also competent at blues and improvising and doing mad solo's, I always have new an more powerful songs in the pipeline which comes from my own self taught practise regieme. I haven't really stoppped since I started and I'm more than ready to start pushing out albums and going on tours an what not.
So if you can hit a note, hit a message? But seriously you got to be more than committed to this band, itss blood man an you have to be f**ckin good at the f**ckin bass!!! I really need to go into new sonic territories to express and delve deeper into more psychological mind f*cks. My songs are well polished about 3 minutes and ready to jam to, each segmant is like woah, if you start to noodle on your bass trust me just have a go! But I know how to get it right if you'd need some guidance, I really need someone with a good ear for hear the melodies and transform what I sing and play into our new sound.
Here is a demo of mine:

I have a diverse range of songs including some I've done on my acoustic. I do want to add keyboards into it as well when that's possible, I think that would make it easy to listen to along with some nice effects, I'm all for that for sure and I have some ideas on how to get really good sounds for when we gig and I really hope we do gig as much as we can.
We practise at Manchester city centre.
Thanks, hope to hear back!
Rock on!
Tom!
